About Me
Hi, I’m Zac. I love helping people harness their natural excitement for playing the trumpet and becoming the absolute best they can be. I believe that I have the ability to recognize and develop potential in people when they don’t see it themselves.
I started teaching trumpet lessons in 1999. Some of my students have gone on to be professional musicians and teachers themselves. Others are interior designers, medical researchers and internet marketers.
I took about a decade away from trumpet teaching to work with orchestras across the state of Michigan, returning to teaching in 2015. While working in the orchestra field, I led teams of staff to produce hundreds of concerts, negotiated contracts with thousands of musicians and brought music to hundreds of thousands of kids.
I’ve lived in Michigan nearly my whole life. I grew up in Ann Arbor, attended college in Mt. Pleasant, lived in the Traverse City area for six years and moved to Livingston County in 2011. I live in Howell with my wife and two sons.
